I enjoy tuning around the various HF aircraft frequencies. Apart from the planes flying across the Atlantic, there’s Gander, Shanwick, Reykjavík and many other ground stations to listen to. Shanwick is the air traffic control name given to the airspace which lies above the northeast part of the Atlantic Ocean. Reykjavík to the north, Gander to the west and Santa Maria to the south. Shanwick also has eastern boundaries with the Scottish, Shannon, London, Brest and Madrid domestic ATC flight information regions. I’m adding to this page regularly so do come back and check.
