Ekco A455

Ekco A455 radio. Cream and grey plastic radio with a large speaker grille above a wide tuning scale and two gold-coloured knobs

The Ekco A455 is a British mains-operated transistor table radio from the mid-to-late 1960s. Unlike many Ekco sets from the 1950s, it contains transistors rather than valves. Contemporary service information dates the A455 to 1967, although it may be as early as 1965.
