The KB GR40 is a large wooden table radio made by Kolster-Brandes in Britain around 1951. It has six valves and a superheterodyne circuit with an RF stage. Its ten wave ranges cover medium wave, long wave and short wave, including several shortwave bandspread ranges.
It is an AC mains set, with voltage settings for 100–120 V, 200–220 V and 230–250 V. The related GR40T is an export version with different waveband coverage.
